[Hong Kong, 21 October 2026] A powerful partnership between two world leaders in hospitality – Rosewood Hong Kong, ranked No.1 in The 50 Best Hotels 2025 and 2026, and Lorenzo Antinori and the team behind Bar Leone (No.1 in The 50 Best Bars 2025 and 2026) – Bar Camillo proudly makes its debut this November.

Conceived from a meeting of shared values and a dedication to world-class hospitality, Bar Camillo is a place where true cocktail craft meets the spirit of a great house party: spirited, social, and built around the rituals that make a night unforgettable. It's a shoulder-to-shoulder collaboration between Lorenzo Antinori and Justin Shun Wah of Bar Leone and Rosewood Hong Kong’s team of hospitality veterans, including Managing Director Hugo Montanari, Director of Culinary Operations Fabian Altabert, Hotel Manager Juan Serrano and F&B Director Sandro Brusco, among many others.

Built on Rosewood’s core brand pillars of discovery and sense of place, Bar Camillo draws inspiration from the nostalgia of a classic Italian ‘salotto.’ Designed as an extension of an inviting living room – the natural stage for great parties and gatherings – the bar replaces rigid hotel formality with an eclectic, unpretentious atmosphere, creating a social hub dedicated to the exacting craft of cocktail-making and the art of the Negroni.

‍

At its core, Bar Camillo is an Italian-inspired cocktail bar: a place where cocktails flow, stories unfold and the welcome is always memorable, as in the coolest of living rooms. As Lorenzo explains: “At Bar Camillo, we want to strip away the formality found in a traditional hotel bar. Building on my philosophy of what makes a great bar, Bar Camillo pairs the excitement and spontaneity of a gathering of close friends with fine-tuned, world class mixology and service. We want to offer a setting where guests can enjoy complex drinks without feeling stuffy, where the design and exceptional service prioritises something that is both vibrant and convivial.”

‍

An intimate, informal Italian Salotto

Intimate, warm and a touch dressed-up without ever tipping into formal, the modern mid-century interiors of Bar Camillo utilise glossy wood veneers, polished metal and mirrored walls, paired with a colour palette of gold and alpine green set against cream tones. A long banquette along the bar carries the lively public side of the space, made for dropping in, catching up and people-watching. Further in, lower seating and enclosed corners fold guests into more intimate conversation. The terrace continues the idea outdoors, designed for sitting with a drink and watching the city long after sunset.

At the heart of Italian culture, the salotto – or living room – serves as the epicenter of social life and a mirror of its era. It is a place of warmth, connection, and above all, fun; and the ultimate setting for hosting memorable parties.

Camillo, the padroni di casa

At the centre of the concept  is Camillo, the bar’s mascot and a cheeky and lovably clumsy bartender who grows more energetic and playful as the night goes on. He personifies a concept that Lorenzo describes as padroni di casa, or the hosts of the home. As Lorenzo explains: “Good bartenders are responsible for the guests’ entertainment, and we build the night to a crescendo through our warmth, our hospitality and the rituals that are part of the Bar Camillo experience."

‍

Kept simple and punchy, the beverage menu is structured around three core pillars. The Aperitivi di Benvenuto comprises dry, refreshing pours designed to kick off the evening. The Cocktail della Casa features seasonal creations firmly rooted in classic mixology. Then there are the Playful Party Touches, injecting pure fun into the menu with high-energy offerings.

‍

At Bar Camillo, cocktails are classically rooted but with a twist of pop-cultural references. The cocktail menu changes four times a year, each edition built around a season and specific year, surfacing cultural touch points throughout the guest experience, from the songs that dominated the Italian pop charts in that moment, to the rotating wall art, and, of course, the cocktails themselves.

‍

Alongside the cocktail menu, guests will receive a small chit, from which they will be able to tailor their own Negroni by choosing the spirit of choice, the garnish and, most importantly, the flavour profile: floral, savoury or rich. The cocktail is then served tableside on a bespoke Negroni Trolley, assembled and stirred to the exacting needs of each guest.

A partnership for the ages

‍

Hugo Montanari, Managing Director, Rosewood Hong Kong & K11 Artus states: ‘Joining forces with Lorenzo to bring Bar Camillo to Rosewood Hong Kong is a celebration of shared vision and the incredible collective effort of our entire team. I am deeply grateful to our Hotel Manager, Juan Serrano; Director of Culinary Operations, Fabian Altabert; Director of Food & Beverage, Sandro Brusco, and every talent at Rosewood whose dedication made this collaboration possible.’

Lorenzo Antinori concludes: “Bar Camillo is bringing the energy and vibes of a standalone bar into The World’s Best Hotel. Here, everything is deliberately relaxed yet celebratory while capturing the quality reminiscent of hanging out at the home of a close friend -  just with the absolute best of service. The space itself is built to feel like a ‘cool house party’: eclectic and, most importantly, fun.”
