The Arcane Collective Announces Victuals by Moxie

[Hong Kong, 3 May 2023] The Arcane Collective is proud to announce its latest initiative - Victuals by Moxie. Inspired by Moxie and Chef de Cuisine Michael Smith’s values of conscious dining and a plant-forward approach, Victuals by Moxie aims to offer authentically sustainable and ethically sourced creative event catering that focuses on the wellbeing of diners and the environment.

Inspired by Moxie and Chef de Cuisine Michael Smith’s values of conscious dining and a plant-forward approach, Victuals by Moxie aims to offer authentically sustainable and ethically sourced creative event catering that focuses on the wellbeing of diners and the environment.

Victuals by Moxie will offer mostly plant-forward dishes as well as sustainably sourced seafood options, designed to benefit every occasion from large scale corporate events through to intimate dinners. Signatures include Ruby Beetroots with Taiwanese Mango, Feta and Jalapeño Dressing; Three Grain Mapo Tofu; Seared Fremantle Octopus with Broccolini, Fresh Burrata and Salsa Verde and desserts such as Warm Chocolate Tart with Espresso Chantilly and Mille Feuille with Seasonal Fruits and Coconut Pastry Cream.

Chef Shane Osborn, founder of The Arcane Collective, states: “There is a growing interest in Hong Kong for sustainable and healthy event catering options. We have spent a long-time sourcing the right ingredients and nurturing relationships with local farmers and suppliers, so it felt like a natural progression to offer our knowledge and passion to corporate entities and to create options that have simply never been available before in Hong Kong.”

Shane continues: “In keeping with the philosophy of The Arcane Collective, Victuals by Moxie’s food is prepared with integrity by people who are passionate about their craft, while supporting a community of specialist and artisan farmers, growers and suppliers of the best produce both locally and internationally.”

Moxie’s Chef de Cuisine Michael Smith states: “With Victuals by Moxie, our dish ideas will centre around the in-season ingredients we are proud to showcase, just as we do at the restaurant. At Moxie, we take into consideration the health of our diners as well as enjoyment, whilst also utilising the best produce. Victuals by Moxie is an extension of this ethos, giving outside catering events the opportunity to not only feed their guests the best tasting, wholesome food, but to also help support a growing community of farmers here in Hong Kong as much as possible.”

Shane concludes: “I am so proud to launch Victuals by Moxie as the catering consultancy arm of The Arcane Collective. Through it, I want to continue to help nurture the next generation of culinary and hospitality talent, and to sustain our invaluable community of producers and suppliers in Hong Kong.”  

The Arcane Collective is a group of independently minded restaurants and catering services that are ingredient-driven and unpretentious as well as socially and environmentally aware. The group includes flagship venue Arcane – which has retained its 1-Michelin star status since 2017 – contemporary bistro Cornerstone on Hollywood Road (est. 2019) and Moxie in the LANDMARK (est. 2021). All three restaurants, along with their new catering service Victuals by Moxie (est. 2022) are linked by an intention to empower talent, respect all workers, champion sustainability, and serve delicious, wholesome food that brings joy to diners.

Victuals by Moxie is available for event catering and consultancy from May 2023.
