Wallawwa – 2 nights

The journey begins at Wallawwa, a serene sanctuary surrounded by 200-year-old gardens and steeped in history. The award-winning hotel is just a short drive from the international airport and is the perfect place to revive and restore.

Camelia Hills – 2 nights

A highlight of the journey is a breath-taking arrival by seaplane at Camelia Hills in the heart of the island’s hill country; the contemporary five-bedroom property offers uninterrupted views of the tea estates; lakes and mountains. Personal butlers create bespoke experiences for each guest from canoeing on Castlereagh Reservoir to exploring the nearby tea plantation estates and finding the perfect location for a picnic lunch with a view.

Goatfell – 2 nights

Goatfell sits at the highes tpoint of Hill Country, where 180-degree views from the infinity pool look out across the Concordia Estate to the emerald, green hills of Regala in thedistance. The kitchen gardens provide the ingredients for gourmet meals served in the atmospheric dining room or outdoor terrace, where sundowners are served around the firepit in the evening.

Nine Skies – 2 nights

Travelling by train to reach Nine Skies provides awe-inspiring views of the tea estates as the train weaves through the hills above the misty cloud forest before arriving at Demadara Station, just 10 minutes from the hotel.

Fort Bazaar – 2 nights

Heading south the journey continues to the heritage city of Galle to stay at Fort Bazaar, a former merchant home close to the UNESCO listed 17-th century fort, where time can be spent ambling around the museums and shops before returning to the hotel’s hidden spa.

Lunaganga – 2 nights

Once the country home of the world-renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, Lunaganga, features one of the most seductive gardens of the 20th century and the 9-bedroom property is testament to Bawa’s distinct ability to blend buildings with their surrounding nature.

Kamu Beach – 2 nights

Completing the journey, the final stop is at Kamu Beach, a ten-bedroom property that sits below  trees on Balapitya’s seafront on the West Coast.  The choice of activities ranges from lazing by the vast infinity pool to taking part in local art tours or learning to surf.
