On 9 and 10 December, from 6pm to 10pm, guests can enjoy a concise menu of signature noodles and an exclusive highball-style cocktail inspired by the city’s working waters.
Launched in 2024, Kinsman has quickly become known for championing Cantonese spirits and reimagining local stories through its cocktail menus, all within an atmosphere that pays homage to Hong Kong’s cinematic and culinary heritage. Lau Kee Boat Noodles, meanwhile, has been plying Aberdeen’s waters for around 40 years, serving comforting bowls of roast duck and char siu noodles in its famed fish broth from a traditional boat before recently settling into a permanent dockside home.
For this collaboration, Lau Kee brings two boat noodle specials to Peel Street. The Classic Boat Noodles (HK$138) combine char siu, roast duck, poached chicken, fishballs and flat rice noodles in Lau Kee’s signature fish broth, capturing the essence of a traditional Aberdeen bowl in a single, generous serving. Meanwhile, the Clam Boat Noodles (HK$148) highlight large white clams and fried fish cake with flat egg noodles, again anchored by that deeply savoury fish broth for a briny, comforting taste of the sea.
Kinsman’s bar team has created Fisherman’s Friend (HK$120) to complete the experience, a highball-style cocktail that channels the flavours of a day on the water. Built with Jiangxiaobai baijiu, tequila, Lau Kee white pepper, boat noodle mix, tomato, calamansi and tonic water, and finished with dried squid, it is refreshing and citrus-forward yet leaves a spicy finish.
Booking is encouraged through reservations here, while walk-ins will be accommodated as capacity allows.

About Kinsman
Launched in 2024 by drinks and lifestyle editor Gavin Yeung and hospitality leaders Singular Concepts, Kinsman has quickly established itself as an innovator in Hong Kong’s world-class bar scene. It has won praise and awards since opening with its dedication to championing the drinkability and versatility of Cantonese spirits and in doing so, preserving an important part of Hong Kong’s history, culture and heritage.
The bar’s design is steeped in cultural references, from Wong Kar Wai’s classic film In the Mood For Love to old-school eateries like Tai Ping Koon. Rather than emulating the past, however, Kinsman honours it while planting its shakers very much in the present and future.
About Singular Concepts
Singular Concepts is founded in 2022 and led by co-founders David Sit, Arnaud Pothier and Tiana Ludhani, together with Christopher Chan and Gagan Gurung, who have created coveted venues on Hong Kong’s scene such as The Daily Tot, Entourage, Bianco & Rosso, Barcode, Tell Camellia, Yurakucho, Barkada, The Trilogy and Kinsman.
The singularly remarkable adventures of the stories we tell are born with a core of fostering a
culture of genuine hospitality with a hedonistic obsession. We are the gatekeepers of making the world better one dish and drink at a time by going.
